Heart of America Association of Blood Banks Student Scholarship The HAABB is offering a scholarship gift in the amount of $500 to the MT or MLT student who submits the best paper on a Transfusion Medicine topic. The paper should be 2 – 5 pages, double spaced and should be relevant to today’s blood banking field. Topics can cover technical advances, current trends, experimental work or controversial issues in the fields of blood banking, transfusion medicine, and cellular and gene therapies. The format of the paper should include Title, Introduction, Discussion, Conclusions and References. Deadline for submission is April 1, 2011. The scholarship will be awarded in April and the paper presented at the Annual Spring Meeting in May 2011. The individual selected will be given the option of presenting their paper at the annual meeting. Registration for the meeting will be paid by HAABB. (Entries remain the property of HAABB. Please keep a copy for yourself) Instructions: Complete this application form and send it with your Transfusion Medicine paper to: Rita Keith St. Luke’s and Shawnee Mission Health Applications must arrive by April 1, 2011. Scholarship selection will be made at the April Board of Directors meeting. |
